ABSTRACT
The present study concerns Brazilian specimens that Carl Martius sent to Luigi Colla in 1827 and from which described 24 new species volume III of Herbarium Pedemontanum 1835. original material examined by (now held at TO) was found compared with duplicates elsewhere. Material located for all but two the taxa Colla. Eighteen hitherto unresolved names are here clarified, along 23 synonymies, 20 proposed lectotypifications one epitypification, three combinations. Based on collecting localities comparison Martii BR elsewhere, least 22 distributed can be confirmed as collections made Prince Maximilian zu Wied.
