ABSTRACT
The present study investigated to evaluate the potential of liquid chitosan three concentrations (0.5, 1 and 2%) on Meloidogyne incognita (Kofoid White, 1919) Chitwood, 1949 in vitro tomato under controlled conditions ((24 ± °C, 60 5% humidity). In assay, effect suppressing hatching from eggs second juvenile larvae (J2) mortality was determined. reducing number gall egg mass roots J2 density soil evaluated conditions. All suppressed hatch increased more than control vitro. most effective concentration found at 2% its nematicidal over 70%. results demonstrated that 0.5, were significantly decreased gall/root, mass/root compared negative No statistically significant difference between effects (P≤0.05). It has been determined better suppress 0.5%. Although high conditions, it negatively affected plant biomass. Also, only 1% application M. by 58%. show use against will be effective.
