ABSTRACT
Prolonged Post-Operative Ileus (PPOI) is an aberrant pattern of gastrointestinal motility, most frequently occurring after abdominal surgery.The clinical manifestations include pain, nausea, vomiting, moderate to severe sick, intolerable a solid diet and delayed passage flatus stool, which usually resolves spontaneously within 2 3 days [1,2].If the symptoms persist for more than 4 days, Postoperative defined [3].PPOI hampers patients' recovery, increases postoperative morbidity leads longer length hospital stay [4].Understanding incidence factors PPOI can help clinicians take effective measures reduce PPOI, ultimately achieve rapid recovery patients.This study retrospectively collected information gastric cancer patients who received surgical treatment in our department, analyzed related occurrence, order targeted prevention measures.
