ABSTRACT
Backgrounds and aims: The “Los Pantanos de Villa Wildlife Refuge” is a representative sample of the wetlands South American Pacific arid coast; however, its exotic flora remains unknown may threaten ecosystem. This work aims to identify presence distribution shrub-arboreal species in wetland, analyze their relationship with native plant communities, record most frequent pests. M&M: A forest census was carried out according communities (Gramadal, Totoral, Juncal), followed by an order similarity analysis, identification phytophagous insects or pests registered these species. Results discussions: Eleven were recorded, total 481 individuals. abundant Eucalyptus globulus (190 individuals), Casuarina equisetifolia (74), Prosopis sp, (70), Washingtonia robusta (58), Phoenix dactylifera (41), Tamarix aphylla (21), Schinus terebinthifolius (15), Myoporum acuminatum (7), Acacia aroma (2), Thuja sp. Araucaria excelsa (1). gramadal community presented highest number individuals (9 species/413 juncal (6 /60) totoral (2 /8). three showed low (<50%) flora. Thirteen recognized, Icerya purchasi Aleurodicus juleikae frequent. Conclusions: study enhances knowledge Los Ramsar providing solid information guide development management strategies for this ecosystem type.
