This multiple baseline study investigated to what extent individuals with autism would learn operate a speech generating device (SGD) request preferred object by observing video model. The intervention consisted of each participant viewing 10- to15-s model that demonstrated the requesting using SGD. Baseline, and generalisation were all implemented within public school, special education classroom. After model, two participants displayed ability items SGD without prompting or cues.
