ABSTRACT
The purpose of the study was to explore aspects functioning and health relevant patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI) caregivers TBI explicitly involved in preliminary for Development ICF Core Set using a qualitative research method.The sampling followed maximum variation strategy. To respect this strategy, we different degrees impairment so, some people it not possible join group because their severe cognitive impairment, case interviewed caregivers. focus groups were digitally recorded transcribed verbatim. meaning condensation procedure used data analysis. After analyses, resulting concepts linked categories according established linking rules.Eighteen five single interviews performed. Forty-one participated 10 groups. Thirty-three eight six underwent interview. Saturation at 10% cutoff reached. Based on patient groups, 144 2nd level categories. In caregiver 129 interviews, could link only Environmental factors 25 categories.A broad range as well several important explored included preparatory phase development Sets TBI. Whereas focused problems mobility, employment recreation leisure highlighted issues related self-care being patients.
