ABSTRACT
Preeclampsia is a syndrome characterized by hypertension and proteinuria. The aim of this study to find the relationship between preeclampsia, asymmetric dimethyl arginine (ADMA), oxidant/antioxidant system. Twenty-one preeclamptic 28 normal pregnant women were included in study. In cord bloods, ADMA parameters measured. Asymmetric levels significantly increased pregnancies compared control group (p = 0.006). activities antioxidant enzymes malondialdehyde < 0.001, p 0.022, respectively). Development endothelial dysfunction oxidative stress may play role developing preeclampsia.
