Let's be clear: Why and how to demonstrate data and methods transparency in nonprofit research

ABSTRACT
Transparency means being honest and open about one’s practices. is considered a gold standard in the nonprofit sector associated with range of positive outcomes. We propose that transparency should also become guiding principle documented practice for scholars. In this research note we articulate context discussing social science potential risks not transparent. Acknowledging epistemic methodological diversity our field – therefore need flexibility how will be practiced by different scholars encourage researchers to consider they can enhance their transparency. To end, outline benefits offer concrete suggestions ways demonstrate research.
