ABSTRACT
A sizeable, and sometimes overwhelming, array of knowledge is available relevant to Sustainable Water Management (SWM). This derives not only from the natural, social engineering sciences but also practical experiences in water management, which defined broadly include all forms use as well protection resources reduction risk water‐related hazards. As a publically‐funded research institute, Eawag (the Swiss Federal Institute Aquatic Science Technology) faces challenges integrating synthesizing knowledge, creating new through projects making an accessible form support practice, management related policy‐making. chapter examines these organizational perspective, discussing measures taken within meet them identifying remaining gaps possible ways address them.
