ABSTRACT
Early career researchers (ECRs) are important stakeholders leading efforts to catalyze systemic change in the conduct and communication of science. Here, we summarize outputs from a virtual unconventional conference (unconference), which brought together 54 invited experts 20 countries with extensive experience ECR initiatives designed improve The event was focused on why ECRs needed science obstacles they face when trying promote reform. Our discussions also highlighted additional that limited research funding working scientific system. We provide lessons learned successful ECR-led or ECR-focused outline actions individuals organizations can take further support who culture practice.
