ABSTRACT
The atmospheric conditions leading to the hailstorm over Mt. Masina Lekh (~1800 m) and its immediate surroundings has been numerically simulated by implementing Advance Weather Research Forecasting (WRF) modeling system. distribution of cloud water-mixing ratio numerical sounding profiles strongly suggest massive scale in around Lekh. atmosphere area was fully saturated with cloud-water mixing exceeding 1.42 g kg-1and temperature at top (~800 hPa) remained close freezing decreased quickly aloft reached -22°C 550 hPa. vertical convection induced appears be one main reasons for occurrences frequent localized severe hailstorms area.Journal Institute Science Technology, 2015, 20(2): 49-53
