Background: Carcinoma of the esophagus poses a considerable medical and public health challenge in many parts world. Despite advances screening multimodal management this disease, overall survival remains poor. There is an utmost need to find marker for establishment targeted immunotherapy. One immunohistochemical that has surfaced with advent anti-PDL1 immunotherapy PD-L1 which been proven be advantageous.
