ABSTRACT
Background: Carcinoma of the esophagus poses a considerable medical and public health challenge in many parts world. Despite advances screening multimodal management this disease, overall survival remains poor. There is an utmost need to find marker for establishment targeted immunotherapy. One immunohistochemical that has surfaced with advent anti-PDL1 immunotherapy PD-L1 which been proven be advantageous. This study aimed determine expression its correlation grade tumor other histopathological parameters 50 patients. Materials Methods: A cross-sectional was conducted on cases histopathologically esophageal carcinoma. Antibody used rabbit monoclonal (CAL10) Biocare. considered positive when complete or partial membranous cytoplasmic staining pattern noted more than 5% cells. Correlation between clinicopathological calculated. Proper consent taken. The findings were statistically analyzed using Statistical Package Social Sciences (SPSS) software version 21.0, statistical program Microsoft Windows. Results: revealed positivity increases as squamous cells increases. Conclusions: shows poorly differentiated tumors. indicates overexpression associated aggressive disease. Targeted therapy against may prove beneficial such
