The U.S. Survey (USGS) Hazards Mission Area works with many partners to monitor, assess, research a wide range hazards, including earthquakes volcanic eruptions. These efforts aim enhance community preparedness, response, resilience. USGS Earthquake Program (EHP) provides earthquake monitoring notifications, assesses seismic conducts targeted reduce risk nationwide. Volcano (VHP) delivers forecasts, warnings, information about based on proactive nation’s active volcanoes scientific understanding processes.
