Left displaced abomasum (LDA) is a common condition in dairy cattle where the dilates and migrates to left side of abdomen. This causes significant economic losses for farmers can result life-threatening complications, so it critical that veterinary students be taught surgically correct LDA before graduating entering food animal practice.
