A Model Euthanasia Workshop: One Class’s Experience at Tufts University

ABSTRACT
Performing euthanasia is likely one of the most challenging tasks a veterinarian faces. Four students at Tufts University School Veterinary Medicine felt that they and their classmates needed additional training on this subject. They informally surveyed to determine what topics formats desired. The findings were used develop Euthanasia Workshop university, voluntary series lectures discussions technical emotional issues relating euthanasia. four then 30 North American veterinary colleges scope in other programs. found euthanasia, while often covered within courses, rarely taught as standalone course.
