ABSTRACT
Abstract Wide-field magnetic imagers using nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamond yield high-resolution images for various applications, including field imaging (MFI) of electronics. Despite the ongoing successes this emerging technique passively interrogating electronics components (including failure analysis troubleshooting), most focus has been on sensing DC and low-frequency currents, due to technical challenges associated with measuring higher-frequency fields. Here, we overcome these existing adapt a recently developed MHz-frequency AC fields, “quantum frequency mixing” approach. We demonstrate instrument’s capabilities by current through fabricated spiral test structure at frequencies ~1 mm2 view. Finally, discuss anticipated future applications interrogation technique.
