ABSTRACT
Abstract Formation of bonelike apatite is an essential prerequisite for implants to make direct bond living bone. The formation can be assessed in vitro using a simulated body fluid (SBF) that has almost equal compositions inorganic ions human blood plasma. In this study, Ti coatings were prepared by vacuum plasma spraying, and then they treated NaOH aqueous solution, immersed distilled water, heated at 600 °C furnace. Microstructure bioactivity the surface modified examined SEM observation SBF test respectively. results obtained revealed net-like structure comprising many micropores was present on surfaces coatings. After SBF, layer formed their surfaces, suggesting modification have good bioactivity.
