ABSTRACT
Abstract In this study, NbC coatings, 250 µm thick, were deposited by low-velocity flame spraying on stainless steel substrates and laser remelted in a controlled argon atmosphere. Isolated passes transverse of the coatings performed at different focal lengths speeds 10, 15, 20 mm/min. Using selected parameters, layers recast with eight 10% superposition. Erosion-corrosion tests coating surfaces cross-sections characterized via SEM, EDS, XRD analysis. Modified dense, 800-µm thick no defects excellent metallurgical bonding substrate obtained. It was found that dilution formed gradient chemical composition mechanical properties erosive-corrosive wear resistance highest for an erodent impact angle 90°.
