Effects of strolling on the mind and autonomic activities of elderly people in the 2018 Yamaguchi Yume Flower Expo Well-being Garden based on the heart rate, blood pressure, low frequency/high frequency and mood

ABSTRACT
In recent years in Japan, forest therapies have been implemented various places. While the effects of such reported previous research papers, those artificial gardens not clarified. At 2018 Yamaguchi Yume Flower Expo, University Faculty Medicine had opportunity to provide a "Well-being Garden" collaboration with Japan Landscape Contractors Association Prefecture Branch. We examined physical and mental responses older people who strolled Well-being Garden.Participants were 158 ≥ 65 old. Pre-and post-stroll interviews conducted, heart rate, blood pressure, autonomic nervous activities measured.After strolling garden, rate significantly decreased from 76.1±12.9 73.9±11.8/min (p<0.01), both systolic diastolic pressure 142.5±24.4 139.4±24.1 mmHg 83.7±12.0 81.5±11.9 mmHg, respectively (p<0.01). The ralue low frequency/high frequency (LF/HF) after garden came closer standard one than before, participants much tension less tension. interview, 74 feeling very good, 84 felt good.These results suggested that Garden positively influenced condition participants.
