ABSTRACT
In this study, the strength and erosive characteristics of CaCO3 filled unsaturated polyester/glass fiber (UPR/GFR) composite are evaluated.Samples UPR with 40, 50 60 wt% content different particle sizes 1, 2, 3, 5 10 micron were prepared tested under tensile loading, indentation erosion conditions. The strength, hardness wear rate (UPR composite)/CaCO3 obtained evaluated. The results showed that higher is percentage in smaller size, resistance glass reinforced/unsaturated polyester (UPR-GFR).Furthermore, highest at 90° impingement angle. Finally show UPR/GFR a brittle manner.
