ABSTRACT
In current times, discussions on issues of sustainable agricultural production are in evidence, this is due to the current problems that humanity is facing with climate change, soil degradation and unsustainable agricultural production, since, in proportion to the world's population increases, the more food production becomes necessary, but inadequate agricultural practices are accelerating the aforementioned problems. In view of the above, pasture management emerges as a key factor for environmental preservation and the quality of ecosystems, since forage production and animal production go hand in hand and are responsible for a large part of agricultural production around the world. The present work aims to explain about the cycling of nutrients in pastures, whose phenomenon is extremely important for the awareness of the correct management of pastures and consequently of sustainable production, from the beginning of forage planting, its growth and consumption by production animals. Correct pasture management can contribute significantly to reducing soil degradation around the world.
