ABSTRACT
To evaluate the role of diffusion MRI in differentiating pediatric posterior fossa tumors and determine cut-off values ADC ratio to distinguish medulloblastoma from other common tumors. We retrospectively reviewed 90 patients (7.5-year median age) with pathologically proven (24 medulloblastoma, 7 ependymoma, 4 anaplastic 13 pilocytic astrocytoma, 30 diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), ATRT, 3 2 high grade glioblastoma, 1 low glioma). The conventional characteristics were evaluated. Two readers DWI visual scale measured by consensus. measurement was performed at solid component tumors. between cerebellar white matter calculated. The significantly lower than astrocytoma DIPG. ≤ 1.115 allowed discrimination sensitivity, specificity, PPV NPV 95.8%, 81%, 67.6% 97.9%, respectively. level differentiate ependymoma 0.995 area under curve (AUC)= 0.8693. for 1.17 AUC = 0.9936. DIPG 1.195 0.9681. correlated WHO grading associated higher grade. Furthermore, High tumor.Diffusion has a significant diagnosis can be used tumor good diagnostic performance.
