ABSTRACT
The NeuRobot is a telecontrolled microscopic micromanipulator system designed for neurosurgical procedures. unit houses three-dimensional endoscope and three robot arms that the surgeon operates without direct contact with patient. authors have successfully performed robotics-assisted procedures by using in 54-year-old man who had recurrent atypical meningioma. Following usual preparation of craniotomy opening dura mater, portion tumor was removed aid observation. No complication related to use encountered patient's postoperative course uneventful. Although various kinds robots been developed neurosurgery recent years, robotic telemanipulation capable performing several surgical tasks has not previously introduced clinical neurosurgery. This first case report which manipulation robotics described.
