ABSTRACT
✓ Perineural cysts have become a common incidental finding during lumbosacral magnetic resonance (MR) imaging. Only some of the symptomatic warrant treatment. The authors describe successful operative treatment patient with, to best their knowledge, largest perineural cyst reported date. A 29-year-old woman had been suffering from long-standing constipation and low-back pain. During an obstetric investigation for infertility, clinician discovered huge presacral cystic mass. Computed tomography myelography showed lesion be Tarlov arising left S-3 nerve root compressing ipsilateral S-2 nerve. was successfully treated by ligation neck together with sectioning root. Postoperative improvement in her symptoms MR imaging findings were noted. Identification involved wall, indication, procedure, multiple are important preoperative considerations.
