ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE:
The WEB is an intrasaccular flow disrupter dedicated to EVT of IA. We report our initial experience in a series patients treated with this device.
MATERIALS METHODS:
This prospective study was approved by the authors9 ethical committees. Nineteen 20 unruptured wide-neck bifurcation IAs were placement. Technical issues, immediate posttreatment angiographic findings, and clinical imaging follow-up at 3, 6, 12 months assessed.
RESULTS:
Failure placement occurred 1 case because unavailability suitably sized Embolization successful 18 19 IAs, it required additional stent and/or coiling 3 cases acute phase follow-up. Two experienced symptomatic complication, 16 had normal neurologic examination findings discharge. Immediate anatomic outcome showed complete occlusion, 13 near-complete occlusions, 5 incomplete occlusions. At follow-up, 17 retained hemiparesis. Angiographic controls obtained all (mean, 6 months), they stable or improved results except 4 cases, including 2 15
CONCLUSIONS:
In patients, IAa feasible. Further studies are needed evaluate indications, safety, efficacy new technique.
