ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE:
Conventional 3D-DSA volumes are reconstructed from a series of projections containing temporal information. It was our purpose to develop technique which would generate fully time-resolved vascular having better spatial and resolution than that is available with CT or MR angiography.
MATERIALS METHODS:
After single contrast injection, the mask fill rotation subtracted create projections. With use these projections, conventional conebeam reconstruction generated (conventional 3D-DSA). This used constrain individual 3D volumes, incorporate information acquired (4D-DSA).
RESULTS:
Typically, 30 per second currently flat detector systems, factor ∼200 increase over achievable multiple gantry rotations. Dynamic displays viewable any angle. Good results have been obtained by using both intra-arterial intravenous injections.
CONCLUSIONS:
feasible commercially angiographic systems clinically practical injection protocols. The signal-to-noise ratio time frames largely determined constraining image not reconstruction. exceed CTA MRA, small vessel increased relative 2D-DSA due maximum intensity
