ABSTRACT
The main aim of this article is to assess changes in important waterfowl habitats -protected wetlands situated the impact zone proposed dolomite mining. The are evaluated according area sub-wetlands that compose principal basis habitat. The were selected vegetation structure Lake Čedasas and its riparian (northern Lithuania). The open water, hydrophyte, helophyte, grass mire scrub distinguished.According simulation results, decrease groundwater level between 6 7 m quarry would not produce a decline water zone, but lowering predicted climate change will as much 10 cm surroundings investigated lake. The also by about cm.Even these minor influence ecosystems Čedasas. The following predicted: territory diminish 25%, covered hydrophytes increase 15% helophytes 17%, sub-wetland 5%, whereas even 28%.The research results showed mathematical model could be employed useful surface resources understand wetland response disturbances regime.
