ABSTRACT
Cucurbit crops include melons, cucumbers, squashes, and gourds - all of which are very important in global agriculture increasingly at risk as a result undetected or asymptomatic viral infections. These "stealth" infections often evade detection during visual inspections conventional diagnostic tests, with yellowing symptoms that may mask nutrient deficiencies other plant stresses, remain asymptomatic, silently affecting crop health. This study investigates the presence hidden cucurbit crops, using advanced molecular diagnostics high-throughput sequencing to identify characterize viruses induce asymptomatic. The complexity management latent threats is discussed here, we emphasize traditional methods highly limited. We advances like PCR NGS allow identification symptomatic Detailed case studies, this CABYV prevalence, argue need for thorough surveillance combating spread impact viruses. further provide discussions on biological ecological aspects terms transmission respect vectors aphids environmental triggers provoke It calls use integrated pest virus-resistant cultivars fundamental strategies sustainable protection. Detection improving, proactive practices can ensure better protection against could impair yield quality.
