Antibodies against epizootic hemorrhagic disease virus were detected in cattle, but antibodies against African horse sickness virus were not detected in horses and mules. Epizootic hemorrhagic disease in northern Africa poses a major risk for the European Union.<br/>En 2008 se detectaron anticuerpos contra el virus de la lengua azul en vacas, ovejas, cabras y camellos en Argelia. Se detectaron anticuerpos contra el virus de la enfermedad hemorrágica epizoótica en el ganado, pero no se detectaron anticuerpos contra el virus de la peste equina africana en caballos y mulas. La enfermedad hemorrágica epizoótica en el norte de África representa un riesgo importante para la Unión Europea.<br/>Des anticorps contre le virus de la fièvre catarrhale du mouton ont été détectés chez les bovins, les ovins, les caprins et les chameaux en Algérie en 2008. Des anticorps contre le virus de la maladie hémorragique épizootique ont été détectés chez les bovins, mais des anticorps contre le virus de la peste équine n'ont pas été détectés chez les chevaux et les mulets. La maladie hémorragique épizootique en Afrique du Nord constitue un risque majeur pour l'Union européenne.<br/>
