ABSTRACT
A high speed railway foundation with a thick top sand layer overlying muck was treated three methods respectively: both the and being by pre-stressed concrete pipe pile geogrid on (PP foundation), only jet grouting (JP dynamic compaction (DC foundation). Based in-suit test data measured during construction of embankment, settlement characteristics were analysed. The results show that when choosing treatment method, not load level geological feature should be paid attention to, but also aim must considered; method suitable for buildings to control total might effective embankment post-construction (PCS). DC could eliminate within depth treating, so it case whose controlling PCS. JP foundation, large while PCS close PP efficient needs settlement. small, as compared just increased project cost increasing length treat PCS, long-term stability depending durability is less reliable because still remained loose.
