ABSTRACT
BACKGROUND: Nowadays, stroke is a leading cause of disability in adults.Assessment motor performance has played an important role rehabilitation for post patients. Therefore, it quite to develop automatic assessment system function.OBJECTIVE: The purpose this study assess the single task upper-limb movements quantitatively among survivors.METHODS: Eleven normal subjects and thirty-five with were involved study. The subjects, who wearing micro-sensor motion capture system, performed shoulder flexion sitting position. The recorded threedimensional kinematics data limb quaternions.By extracting significant features from these data, we built linear model acquire functional score (FAS).RESULTS: All have statistical difference (P < 0.05) between patients healthy people, while feature values high correlation Fugl-Meyer (FM) scores (r > 0.5, p 0.05), indicating that are able reflect level impairment.Furthermore, most samples locate confidence interval after regression, residual approaching distribution. These results show FAS capable function survivors.CONCLUSION: These findings represent step towards can be utilized precise evaluation stroke, applicable clinical research as tool rehabilitation.
