Fast-Track Extubation Experience in the Operating Room After Congenital Heart Surgery in Infants

ABSTRACT
Objectives:Early extubation applications after pediatric congenital heart surgery have increased in recent years because of the positive results these studies.It remains controversial whether early should be performed operating room or intensive care unit.In addition, there are differences between hospitals practices cardiac surgery.In this study, we aimed to contribute literature by presenting our first 12 cases infants extubated surgery. Materials and Methods:Between May 2022 December 2022, study included infant patients aged ≤1 year who underwent were extubate room. Results:The cohort comprised 6 girls boys, with an 11-month-old male patient pulmonary hypertension.Seven cardiopulmonary bypass, temperatures set at 32 °C for 4 34 3 patients.No respiratory problems occurred patients.None required non-invasive ventilation.There was no need reintubation late period. Conclusion:Our findings suggest that a significant proportion can safely following surgery.Early offers potential decrease sedation inotropes, thereby averting complications associated mechanical ventilation.
