Optimization of the Structural Parameters of a Plastic Centrifugal Pump

ABSTRACT
The structural design parameters of a plastic centrifugal pump were calculated and modeled, flow field simulation analysis the model was performed using CFD, in framework an orthogonal method (or experiment). inlet mounting angle β1, outlet β2, wrap ϕ, impeller diameter D1 four factors assumed for application experiment, efficiency Net Positive Suction Head (NPSH) as evaluation indices. Moreover, taking maximum minimum NPSH factors, re-optimized through Taguchi algorithm (leading to following optimal combination: 35 mm, 26°, 27°, 110°). have been found be 0.957% 61.5%, respectively.
