ABSTRACT
The aim was to examine the effectiveness of education elementary school students, conducted by teachers trained physicians, in learning and applying basic resuscitation procedures (cardiopulmonary resuscitation, CPR) retention aforementioned knowledge skills after one month. research during year Split-Dalmatia County, Republic Croatia. Physicians biology implement CPR schools, then systematic students according same program. teacher student program included a lecture, video simulation practical exercises on first aid puppets. initial were examined before education. Retention checked results show that two-hour course, feel competent successfully structured for students. Elementary do not have or at beginning. After lasting two hours, they statistically significantly better theoretical skills. They also retain acquired period model which medicine doctors teach teachers, later their has proven be successful, it is important continue implementing schools so are health literate can act adequately an emergency situation.
