ABSTRACT
Nyirih is a plant from the Meliaceae family with Latin name Xylocarpus granatum J.Koeing, this nyirih spreads in tropical waters and does not cluster certain areas. This study aims to determine total phenolic content of stem bark extract (Xylocarpus J.Koeing) using UV-Vis spectrophotometric method. The J. Koeing) was obtained maceration method 96% ethanol solvent. Determination based on Folin-Ciocalteau method, where addition 7% sodium carbonate provides an alkaline atmosphere that will produce ions. Furthermore, it reduce Follin form blue complex. At maximum wavelength 755 nm, results showed average 6.163 mg GAE / g extract.
