ABSTRACT
This research was aimed to improve the students’ learning achievement and critical thinking ability through problem based (PBL) model, method which applied in this classroom action research. It consisted of two cycles each cycle planning, implementing, observing, reflecting. The data taken by giving students test, it form multiple choice test. used know thinking, essay test used. finding show that there improvement from cycle. (1) at first cycle: percentage score mastery 63.16% ; mean 51.31 (2) second : 85% 72.08 catagorized into between 62.59 – 81.25. on finding, can be concluded model ability.
