ABSTRACT
In the present study, we evaluated effect, safety and radiological outcomes of cervical hybrid surgery (cervical disc prosthesis replacement at one level, interbody fusion other level) on multilevel degenerative disease (DDD).Fifty-one patients (mean age 46.7 years) with symptomatic spondylosis were treated using (HS). Clinical [neck disability index (NDI) Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) score] radiologic [range motion (ROM) for spine, adjacent segment arthroplasty level] routine postoperative intervals 1, 6, 12, 24 months. Review similar studies that examined HS in DDD was performed.Out 51 patients, 41 received 2 level 10 3 surgery. The NDI VAS score significantly decreased during follow up periods (p<0.05). ROM recovered 6 12 month postoperatively mean inferior larger than superior segments after arthoplasty preserved well periods. No surgical device related complications observed.Hybrid is a safe effective alternative to management spondylosis.
