ABSTRACT
Gender differences in asthma have been observed with a preponderance of boys affected before puberty and girls during after puberty.The known influences the menstrual cycle on support role for female sex hormones changing expression adolescence.The purpose this study was to investigate obesity, lung function adolescent girls.One hundred three high school (mean age: 15.9± ±0.8 yr) were enrolled.The investigation performed using questionnaire that included history asthma, cycle, other combined allergic disease obesity.The skin prick pulmonary test menstruation period non-menstruation period.Analyses these factors compared.The forced expiratory volume one second (FEV1)/forced vital capacity (FVC) significantly lower obese group compared non-obese (99.8± ±13.8 vs. 107.1±±10.2, p=0.03).The FEV1 than who not (77.5± ±10.2 80.4± ±8.6, p=0.03).Our results showed changes related obesity Korean girls.
