ABSTRACT
Background: To identify sarcopenia as a predictive prognostic factor of ovarian cancer in terms survival outcome patients with early-stage cancer. Methods: Data Konkuk University Medical Center from March 2002 to December 2017 were reviewed retrospectively.Eighty-two who underwent surgery due (International Federation Gynecology and Obstetrics stage I/II) had computed tomography (CT) images taken at the initial diagnosis included. The CT scan analyzed SliceOmatic software (TomoVision).A cutoff value was defined skeletal muscle index ≤ 38.7 cm 2 /m .Overall (OS) times compared according existence sarcopenia, subgroup analyses performed. Results: A Kaplan-Meier analysis showed significant disadvantage for when they (P < 0.001; log-rank test).Sarcopenia remained OS cancer, Cox proportional hazards model regression (HR, 21.9; 95% CI, 2.0-199.9;P = 0.006). Conclusion:This study demonstrated that cancer.Further prospective studies larger number are warranted determine extent which can be used cancer.
