ABSTRACT
To evaluate the feasibility, safety, and effectiveness of CT-guided microcoil localization solitary pulmonary nodules (SPNs) for guiding video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS). Between June 2016 October 2019, 454 consecutive patients with 501 SPNs who received before VATS in our institution were enrolled. The diameter was 0.93 ± 0.49 cm, shortest distance from to pleura 1.41 0.95 cm. distal end placed less than 1 cm away nodule, proximal outside visceral pleura. performed under guidance implanted microcoils without aid intraoperative fluoroscopy. All marked microcoils. time required 12.8 5.2 minutes. Microcoil localization-related complications occurred 179 cases (39.4%). None treatment. A total 463 successfully resected revealed 38 dislocated microcoils, which 28 underwent wedge resection (21 bleeding points pleural puncture, 7 through palpation), 5 direct lobectomy, remaining a conversion thoracotomy. In 4 cases, portion remained lung parenchyma. is safe reliable. Marking nodule simultaneously can effectively guide using
