ABSTRACT
Plant breeding for crops and ornamentals has grown in importance over the past century. Mendel's theories about inheritance of characteristics established groundwork contemporary genetics. While chromosomal duplication, mutation breeding, intra- interspecific cross-breeding remain mainstays ornamental plant advanced dramatically since day. Advanced accuracy selection towards more challenging to measure or quantify are now possible because new genomic techniques. The plants nowadays is a endeavor with constantly evolving obstacles. Collaborations between research industry will be necessary apply current technology small-scale crops.
