ABSTRACT
Background: Most clinical trials are registered to be conducted in high-income countries (HIC), whereas low-to-middle income (LMIC) account for 32%. Building a non-HIC dependent trial research capacity LMIC is priority. However, certain ethical principles could jeopardized the process. Objective: To explore conditions ethically conduct independently from HIC. Material and Methods: Analysis ten Principles Benchmarks Ethical Clinical Research by Emanuel EJ, et al. A non-systematic search of literature was carried out identify studies that cover problems potential solutions independent LMICs. Results: Three were coincided with notion HIC-led often do not guarantee equitable distribution funds publication credits. Alternative designs proposed. Conclusion: International collaboration between HIC based on equity partners harmonize compared strictly locally-initiated or trials.
