ABSTRACT
Atheroclerosis refers to a chronic inflammatory disease featured by the accumulation of fibrofatty lesions in intima arteries. Cardiovasular events associated with atherosclerosis remain major causes mortality worldwide. Recent studies have indicated that ferroptosis, novel programmed cell death, might participate process atherosclerosis. However, ferroptosis landscape is still not clear. In this study, 59 genes were ultimately identified intima. Gene ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia Genes Genomes (KEGG) pathway enrichment analyses performed for functional annotation. Through construction protein-protein interaction (PPI) network, five hub (TP53, MAPK1, STAT3, HMOX1, PTGS2) then validated histologically. The competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) network was constructed explore regulatory mechanism between lncRNAs, miRNAs, genes. findings provide more insights into and, potentially, therapeutic targets
