ABSTRACT
Background: The predictive power of the CHADS2 and CHA2DS2-VASc scores for presence Left atrial thrombus (LAT)/ spontaneous echo contrast (SEC) in non-valvular fibrillation (NVAF) is modest. aim this analysis to define clinical ultrasonic variables associated with LAT/SEC propose nomograms individual risk prediction. Methods: Data on 1,813 consecutive NVAF patients who underwent transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) from January 2016 2021 were collected. univariate multivariate logistic regression analyses used construct a nomogram. We examined ability by calculating area under curve (AUC). Moreover, performance nomogram was assessed respect calibration, discrimination, usefulness. Results: found 260 (21.0%) 124 (21.6%) training validation cohorts, respectively. On analysis, independent factors Age, left diameter (LAD), ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), hypertension (HTN), previous stroke or transient ischemic attack, Non-paroxysmal AF built based these variables. calibration probability showed good prediction agreement actual observation. achieved concordance indexes 0.836 0.794 predicting Decision demonstrated that would be clinically useful. Conclusions: In study, constructed incorporated six characteristics patients. may great value
