ABSTRACT
Limited study has shown whether NT-proBNP is related to the prognosis of children wth ventricular septal defect (VSD) surgery. The was conducted determine predictive value on outcomes with VSD A total 798 surgery were enrolled, measured at preoperatively and 24-h postoperatively. short- mid-term clinical recorded. Propensity scores (PS) performed acquire pre-op post PS-matched cohorts for comparisons between groups. In pre cohort, higher NT pro-BNP group had longer hospitalization time lower post-op 1-month EF compared low (all P < 0.05), there wasn't significant difference mechanical ventilation time, cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) intensive care unit (CCU) stay, ejection fraction (EF) values 3 month 12 months after > 0.05). CPB CCU 1 two groups level hospital stays than those level. Pre no effect ACC stay cardiac function Post-op associated outcomes.
