ABSTRACT
Debris flows is one of the most common natural disasters in mountainous areas, posing a seriously risk to local people’s life and property. It fundamental basis study criteria for movement solid materials subjected seepage flow surface purpose prevent this hazard. Therefore, mechanical analysis methods laboratory experiments were used effect on movable debris flow. First, definition was proposed. Then, geological model established considering saturated Finally, through analysis, formulas dynamical force resistance are derived. The results show that increase linearly with depth when geologic homogenous saturates entire layer. also indicated pore-water pressure important factors causing flow, especially slope angle exceeds 12°. Through comparing tests theoretical under discrepancy only 1.3%–24.2%, showing fairly reliable. motion should be described as problem rather than statistic qualitative description. research contributes source volume calculation small debris-flow watersheds advances complex dynamic conditions.
