ABSTRACT
Background Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a common and severe social problem. Erectile dysfunction (ED) an important health concern. The prevalence of OSA with ED increasing, which significantly affects the quality life work efficiency patients. However, mechanism underlying comorbidity these two diseases remains unclear. Objectives (1) Investigate ED; (2) analyze correlation between (3) explore treatment response to possible uvulapalatopharyngoplasty (UPPP) in patients ED. This study aims provide theoretical basis for clinical diagnosis comprehensive improve prevention strategies. Materials Methods In total, 135 subjects were enrolled study. Clinical data, polysomnography, ESS score, Beck anxiety depression IIEF-5 score ASEX recorded before UPPP 6 months after UPPP. Sex hormones measured all using Roche electrochemiluminescence analyzer. Result was 64.52%, 73.02%. increased age, BMI apnea-hypopnea index (AHI) value. Among polysomnography indicators, minimum oxygen saturation average may predict occurrence Improving patient’s very treating hormone levels not correlated Conclusion symptom showed that sex condition, but further investigation this relationship worthwhile.
