ABSTRACT
Aims This study aims to determine the optimal number of oocytes retrieved so that patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) receiving in vitro fertilization (IVF) can obtain best cumulative live birth rate (CLBR) and after fresh embryo transfer. Methods is a retrospective 1,419 PCOS who underwent their first IVF cycle at Second Hospital Hebei Medical University from January 2014 December 2021. Multivariable regression analysis was performed adjust for factors known independently affect aspiration. The explored through curve fitting threshold effect analysis. decision tree method used explore achieve shortest time. Results (1) found be an independent protective factor (OR = 1.09 (95% CI: 1.06, 1.12)). When less than 15, CLBR increased by 16% each increase 1.16 1.11, 1.22)); when more tended stable. (2) Live transfer analyzed classification tree. For younger 35 years old, those 6 7–16 had similar proportion births but higher 16 (53.7% vs. 53.8% 18.4%). Patients older old (35.7% 39.0%) no using up all embryos (39.3% 19.2%). Conclusions In patients, high obtained 15 or more. 7 could chance
