ABSTRACT
Objective This research aimed to elucidate the relationship between testosterone levels and serum soluble klotho (S-klotho) concentrations in females aged 40-79 years using National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) dataset. Design Associations S-klotho were assessed through multivariable linear regression methodologies, spanning nonadjusted, minimally adjusted, fully adjusted models. Settings The investigation was conducted as a cross-sectional analysis utilizing NHANES database. Participants From 20,146 participants 2013 2016, 2,444 met stipulated inclusion exclusion criteria. Results Free androgen index (FAI) showcased negative correlation with across all models (nonadjusted: β -7.08, 95% CI -13.39- -0.76; adjusted: -9.73, -16.6- -2.84; -7.63, -14.75-0.51). Conversely, total did not exhibit significant associations In nonadjusted model, estradiol positively associated (β 0.14, 0.05-0.23), but this significance retained subsequent Conclusion Findings suggest that U.S. years, FAI negatively correlates concentrations, while there is lack of for estradiol.
