ABSTRACT
The wet flue gas desulfurization (WFGD) system is widely used in coal-fired power plants worldwide. Improving its efficiency very important for economical running. In this study, SO 2 removal by the spray scrubber adding a new sieve tray was studied and compared to that traditional without (the WFGD system). effects of flow rate, liquid inlet concentration, pH value on both types scrubbers were evaluated. Pore diameter porosity sieve-tray determined, enhanced under different experimental conditions calculated. results showed increased with increasing rate same liquid/gas ratio (L/G), value. Compared tray, had significantly higher efficiency. efficiencies mostly between 20% 60% range.
